Managing Executive: Vodacom Business International

Guy had held several executive and leadership positions within the Fast Communications (Pty) Ltd group of companies. He had been Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director of the African operations of UUNET South Africa where he was responsible for the expansion and launching new operations in Kenya, Zambia, Botswana and Namibia. Guy’s telecommunications career started at Telkom SA before joining UUNET South Africa, now MTN Business.

Matimba Mbungela

Chief Human Resources Officer: Vodacom Group Limited

Matimba is the Chief Human Resources Officer of Vodacom Group Limited. He joined Vodacom in 2004 as Group Executive for Talent, Learning and Development. Prior to his current role, Matimba held the position of Regional Head of Talent: Africa, Middle East & Asia Pacific, and Regional Head of Organisational Effectiveness & Change: Africa, Middle East & Asia Pacific Vodacom South Africa. He also held the position of Managing Executive Human resources for Vodacom SA before becoming the Chief Human Resources Officer. Before joining Vodacom, Matimba’s had held various executive positions at the Department of Agriculture & Forestry South Africa, Mondi, Unilever, and BMW SA.

Veran Kathan

Chief Financial Officer: Vodacom Business Africa

Veran Kathan is the Chief Financial Officer for Vodacom Business Africa. He is responsible for steering strategy, revenue growth and the financial management of operations in nine countries across Africa. Veran is a Chartered Accountant with a Master’s degree in Taxation and an Honours degree in Accounting. He has over 25 years of experience spanning financial and commercial strategy and a track record of success across the banking and ICT sectors as a result of his ability to build effective teams and a strong commitment to developing people.

Solomon Ogufere

Executive Head, Commercial: Vodacom Business Nigeria

Solomon is currently the Executive Head, Commercial. Prior to joining Vodacom Business Nigeria in July 2015, he held the position of Head, Product Development, Quality Assurance and Portal Services at Etisalat Nigeria Ltd. Solomon has over 17 years’ experience spanning Product development, Project and Vendor Management, Information Systems, Quality assurance and Marketing working in various multinationals including Cisco Systems Ltd UK, Royal Bank of Scotland UK, Pfizer Ltd UK and MTN Nigeria Communication Ltd.

Oluseyi Olanrewaju

Executive Head, Finance: Vodacom Business Nigeria

Oluseyi is currently the Executive Head, Finance. Before joining Vodacom Business Nigeria in 2015, Oluseyi held the position of Director of Finance and Chief Financial Officer at Internet Solutions Limited Nigeria. He also worked in various leadership positions at General Electric International Operations Limited, MTN Nigeria Communications Ltd and Zenith Bank Plc. Oluseyi has over 16 years’ experience spanning compliance, audit and investigation, treasury management, inventory, risk and asset management.
